In-Browser AI Chatbot
An AI-powered chatbot that runs directly in the browser, built during JS Expert Week 9.0 by EW Academy.
About the Project
This project was developed during JS Expert Week 9.0, by EW Academy, to explore the principles of the so-called Web 4.0: applications that run artificial intelligence models directly in the browser, without depending on a server. The chatbot uses Gemini Nano, the local model of Google Chrome accessed through the Prompt API, to generate complete, context-aware responses in real time. Because it relies on experimental APIs, it only works in Google Chrome.
Beyond general conversations, the chatbot fetches, answers, and translates information from my GitHub profile, which makes the experience more dynamic and personalized.
Key features:
- Responses generated by AI running locally in the browser
- Responses displayed in real time, as they are generated
- The option to stop a response at any moment
- Lookup and translation of information from my GitHub profile
- A lightweight chat interface built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
A study project that shows, in practice, how to bring artificial intelligence into modern web interfaces.
